When real estate shopping, one thing you need to figure out before even looking at Liberty Village condos or homes is determining if you want to live in a home or condo. Each type of structure has their advantages and disadvantages. If you can decide where you want to live before you go out real estate shopping, you'll be saving yourself a lot of time.
There are many reasons to own condo real estate in Toronto. Other than being able to live right in the heart of downtown Toronto, where many top end condo units are located, being a condo owner has plenty of benefits. Condos are usually situated in well established neighbourhoods. That means you are usually within walking distance of everything you need to survive. Grocery stores, video rental stores, specialty clothing boutiques, restaurants, pizza joints, laundromats, libraries, bus stops, etc. You name it, condos will be near it. That just makes living in King West condos much easier.
Since you have to pay monthly condo fees that cover repairs and maintenance, you don't have to worry about dipping in to your savings account when something in your condo unit needs to be fixed. Whether it's a leaky faucet or broken freezer. Another nice thing about paying those condo fees is that you don't have to do the repairs yourself. Someone else will do them for you. They also take care of such things as mowing the lawn or shovelling the sidewalk. Just another benefit to living in Toronto or Mississauga condos.
Condos also come with extra amenities that not all homes do. Such as tennis courts, swimming pools, game rooms, outdoor patio and BBQ areas or exercise centres. All Toronto condos are unique so make sure you get the full tour when condo shopping. If you have small children, some condos are starting to equip themselves with in-home day care centres that will watch your children for you while you're away at work.
So, as you can see condos have their advantages. While you might not be the king of the castle in a condo as compared to owning your own home, there's nothing wrong with being part of a unified scene. If you ever go on vacation, you know that there are plenty of people you can look to who'll gladly watch over your condo unit while you're away. That's just one more advantage a condo has over a home.
